NYBA INSTRUCTORS

NYBA is a not-for-profit 501c-(3) organization, none of the instructors are paid to teach, but rather are just a group of dedicated individuals who enjoy teaching and believe in our mission to preserve this traditional Japanese sword style. All instructors are licensed through the Ryushin Shouchi Ryu (RSR) Honbu in Japan, directly under Yahagi Sensei. NYBA is the main branch of RSR in the North East. All of senior instructors hold the rank of Renshi (official teaching license from the Honbu, one level above Yondan (4th Dan) and our Senpai are Sandan (3rd DAN) with a minimum of 6 – 8 years of experience. All instructors also have signed and agreed to the NYBA CODE OF ETHICS.
