RSR RANK TESTING REQUIREMENTS

This chart was provided by Yahagi Sensei to show the required timing between awarding ranks. Rank tests are conducted at official RSR Seminars and events (or you can visit the Honbu in Tokyo). There needs to be a minimum of at least 2 RENSHI judging to award rank. Testing fees are to be paid directly to the dojo hosting the test (these are to be paid before the test, are are non-refundable). Rank requirements are determined by the judges, however there are some standards that are expected to be met for certain ranks. New York Budo Association is permitted to award ranks up to the Sandan (3rd Dan) level.
